Somebody's going for a ride😮

Hi there. I am interested in the search capabilities and tracking corporate planes. I use the intel to help form M&A investment thesis.

I can normally get tail numbers, so I'll be tinkering with searching for a jet, looking at the history of the flights and then detecting any anomalies that might suggest a deal going down.

I would love pointers, etc. Still going through the first "how to" video.

Fantastic idea so far! Nice job.

Hey Brandon. Great questions. I will try to respond in more detail when I have more time, but a couple quick things to note as you approach your task.. first, you should start to also compile and track your ac list with their transponder hex codes. The icao hex code is the key when searching flight history, as callsigns can change. Registration detail will be hard to get for ac in the masked programs (LADD/PIA). The watchlist in SkyGlass is also hex centric, in that you can manually add ac into the list by hex codes. More later… feel free to reach out to me anytime for help.

What's your primary objective?

As we move from the Beta Test into Pre-release the focus of tuning the user experience is now elevated. Now all the tools have been build, I'd like to simplify the workflows based on what you're after ... and to do that I'd like your input!

Please answer the poll and comment on your specific use case. If you have more than one please separate them into different comments so others can upvote w/ a thumbs up. This way we can informally rank similar mission sets.

Thanks for taking a minute to answer and for your continued support and testing of SkyGlass.

MISSION PRIORITY?

  • Tracking specific aircraft in my watchlist

  • Tracking live flights - focus on military only

  • Tracking live flights - all types

  • Historical access, looking back at flight histories
